BESTMAP Summer School: Modelling policy impacts on ecosystem services and biodiversity

BESTMAP is beyond happy to announce that in the upcoming fall, between 12 and 16 September of 2022, the project is organising a Summer School, specifically tailored to look into the modelling policy impacts on ecosystem services and biodiversity.

While actively working towards transforming the future EU rural policies’ design and monitoring, BESTMAP is holding the Summer School with the aim to draw upon developed methods and experience from the project, operating in five case studies across Europe.

Moreover, it will give an insight and hands-on training on

  • agent-based modelling,
  • biodiversity/species distribution modelling, and
  • ecosystem services modelling, focusing on examples of both provisioning and regulating ecosystem services.

BESTMAP’s Summer School will welcome all interested Ph.D. students and early-career researchers with relevant background in the field of agriculture-environment interactions to take part in our engaging and highly interactive event.

Make sure to regularly check our website and social media accounts for more information on the registration, specific program and logistics.
