BESTMAP at the SSC2022 Conference

BESTMAP is beyond happy to announce that the project will be attending the 17th annual Social Simulation Conference (SSC2022), which will be held at the University of Milan in Italy between 12 and 16 September 2022. We are also glad that our paper "An agent-based model of UK farmers’ decision-making on adoption of agri-environment schemes" by Chunhui Li, Meike Will and  Birgit Müller, Nastasija Grujić, Jiaqi Ge, Arjan Gosal and Guy Ziv , has been accepted to be included for the awards for best paper at the closing ceremony.

One of the main objectives of the conference, organised by the European Social Simulation Association (ESSA), is to advance computational social science both within and outside of Europe.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format. It will take place at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Milan with the usual pre-pandemic conference setting (rooms, coffee breaks, luncheons and social events) but participants will also be given the opportunity to attend all sections remotely via online streaming.

The conference program will include general interest plenary sessions, invited speakers, parallel sessions, tracks, and workshops. A general assembly and a closing ceremony for the best paper/poster awards, including the Rosaria Conte Outstanding Contribution to Social Simulation Award and the Best PhD Dissertation Award, will both be held as ESSA-related activities.

Registrations are now open! The deadline for the early registration is on 15 August 7 2022!
